May 19-21 PLANT WEEK

PLANT WEEK PICTURES






This week our theme will be about PLANTS! We will be learning how plants grow and what we have to do to take care of them. We will do fun activities such as painting our own flower pots and growing our own plants. Should be fun :)

LUNCH/SNACKS THIS WEEK

Tue- MS- Banana/apple AS-water mellon
LUNCH- Ants on a log with cut up carrots and hummus dip

Wed-MS Apple/blackberries AS-Grapes
LUNCH- Shepard's pie

Camping week was a blast and the kids absolutely LOVED the tent. We ate in the tent, we read in the tent, played games in the tent, etc. Here are some pics of our week

The kids were so proud of what they made you for Mother's day! All day they kept asking when they could give it to you! I hope you had a wonderful mothers day and loved there gifts :)

May 11-14 CAMPING WEEK

I hope you all had a wonderful Mother's Day!!!
Sorry I didn't post this sooner. I usually due this on Sundays but my internet was down yesterday.
Anyway this week our theme is camping! We'll do lots of fun camping crafts, activites, and games. We will be building an actual tent downstairs so we will be doing most our activities in there such as reading, telling camping stories, and singing camping songs around a fake camp fire we will make. (good time to talk about fire safety too) This will be a fun theme especially with a real tent to play in.

Some activities will include
Going on a walk and have the kids look for things that they might see while camping (rocks, leaves, stream, etc.) We will collect some items and make a collage with what they find.

Make a fake campfire using painted paper towel rolls as logs and tissue paper as fire.

Mon- MS- Apple AS-Pears
LUNCH- Cucumber sandwich

Tue-MS strawberries AS-Grapes/blackberries and a Strawberry Bar (recipe from Lori Anne) if they finish there fruit
LUNCH-Apple Sandwiches

Wed-MS-banana AS- blackberries and grapes
LUNCH-veggie wrap with Pasta salad

Thur- MS-strawberries/banana AS-Apple
LUNCH-Grilled cheese and cut up veggies

A QUICK NOTE

It's about time we had some nice weather!! Well now that summer is FINALLY around the corner I just wanted to ask if you could please bring the kids sun hats and sunscreen when they come to play so we can take advantage of these sunny days and not worry about the sun. If you'd like to leave a bottle of sunscreen or hats here that is fine with me or just bring on a daily basis that is fine as well. On really hot days I'd love to take the kids outback and run through the sprinkler or play in our new baby splash pool/slip n slide. If you have any spare swim trunks you like to leave that would be great or I can let you know before hand when I know it will be HOT!

Also incase I forget:
Jonah's milk expires tomorrow
Brody's and Makayla's snacks are running low (I think they have a couple rawritos, cheezits and a bit of Goji berries left)

May 4-7 Mommy week

This week will be about Mommies :) We will talk about why they are special, why they love you, why we honor them on mothers day, and things they can do to show how much they love you etc.
And of course lots of crafts/gifts and a couple new songs about mommies :) Im sure you'll LOVE this theme. Haha
